Three North Eastern legislators have told off Bualang'i MP Ababu Namwamba over his calls for the resignation of Sports Cabinet Secretary Hassan Wario. Mohamed Shidiy, Roba Duba and Ahmed Abass say that Namwamba has no moral authority to demand for Wario’s sacking.
Meanwhile, CS Wario has made some changes to the committee that will probe the national Olympics committee for claims of mismanagement during the 2016 Rio Olympics.
The team will now be chaired by Paul Ochieng from Strathmore University while Rose Tata Muya will be his deputy.
Others in the committee include veteran sports journalists Elias Makori, former athletes Ibrahim Hussein and Moses Kiptanui as well as Elizabeth Olaba. The team is expected to find out how NOCK issues accreditations for Rio, kit distribution as well list of officials who traveled to Rio for the games.
