Kenya National Union of Teachers KNUT is urging the government not to rush in introducing new Education Curriculum without putting proper measures.

KNUT secretary General Wilson Sossion says although the union welcomes the new education frame which if passed into law, will overhaul the entire 8-4-4 system of education there is need to prepare adequately for it.

Addressing secondary head teachers in Mombasa, Sossion said teachers must be trained effectively on how to implement the new 2-6-6-3  system.

He says the government should introduce the system in 2018 after all issues raised by education stakeholders are addressed.
