On Friday morning, Gidi and Ghost hosted talented artists, Timeless Noel, Hype Ochi and Jabidi who are behind 'Odi Dance' the popular gospel song that features a unique dancing style which has become the new craze in town.

According to Timeless Noel, the man behind the online 'Odi Dance Challenge' which has spread it's roots across borders, he took it upon himself to popularize the dance style which has been evolving since it's inception five years ago.

"Odi Dance simply means 'ordinary' which was shortened to 'Odi'." Said Noel.

This dance style which has evolved from the likes of 'Kuku Style' started out five years ago from the ghetto before it blew up recently. Each and every time I visited schools in my mission work I noticed everyone loved it but the funny thing is it had no name, despite it being a national dance.

So one time I sat down and started the viral 'Odi Dance Challenge' which saw Kenyans across all divides post their best dance videos and it went viral." He added before his colleague Jabidi revealed how together with Hype Ochi decided to record a song about the dance style.

Before this project,  I had done the song, 'Shoot Satan' which did very well. Noel started the Odi Dance Challenge and it went viral and everyone would dance to it with any song. So we decided to make it bigger by doing a song about it, so we met in studio and everyone did their verses and our minds were blown by how people loved it! Said Jabidi.

The viral song was listed as among the most searched videos by Google with it's video already amassing over 800,000 views on Youtube.
