Chinese clubs spent a record 320 milllion pounds which is equivalent to Sh40.7billion during the winter transfer window.

The country's winter window closed yesterday, with the 16 Chinese Super League clubs passing the 215m pounds spent by English Premier League 20 top tier teams in January.

Oscar's move to Shanghai SIPG for 60m pounds and Shanghai Shenhua's reported 40m deal for Carlos Tevez who's the world's highest paid player were the highest.

Meanwhile, Kenyan international Michael Olunga also moved to Guizhou Zhicheng FC from Swedish top side IF Djurgardens, for a record Sh450 million deal.
