Kenya 7s lost 12-7 to Argentina in the Challenge Trophy quarterfinal at the on going Paris Sevens.
A poor defence from the Kenyan side saw Bazan Velez make his way over the try line, to help the Argentinians take a 5-0 half time lead.
Ever vibrant Nelson Oyoo revived Kenya's hopes giving the Innocent Simiyu led side 7-5 ahead. But the Argentinians were not done with Gaston Revol's converted try all but securing the win for them giving Shujaa another sour outing, dropping to the 13th place playoff fixture against Russia.
In the end it was Russia who carried the day with a 7-15 win over the Kenyans.
The national side won one match, lost one and drew one in their group matches. Kenya lost 20-14 to France before beating Spain 26-14 then drew with England.
