Today is fathers day and to honor it, CORD principal Raila Odinga went to Uchumi supermarket with his son Raila Odinga Junior to shop.
It was while there that he was shocked by the state of supermarkets and the absence of the subsidized maize promised to Kenyans.
Raila Junior posted his fathers disappointment in the following statement;
Face to face with the reality of what many fathers are going through out there; we saw first hand the challenges that ordinary Kenyans are facing in trying to feed their families on a day to day basis - empty shelves even as the price of basic commodities continues to soar!
