'God willing will see you tomorrow,' last tweets by Reginald Mengi to wife

Tanzania's richest man and media mogul was always deliberate with the messaged he posted on his social media.

Mengi passed on today while receiving treatment in Dubai.

His last message to his wife, Jacqueline Mengi was a tweet send out days before his death.

"JNMengi, my sweetheart, I love you more than the sand in all the seas in the whole world. God willing will see you tomorrow xxxxx."

This was just after he had wished her a happy anniversary.

"Happy Anniversary My Sweet love. It has been a very exciting journey full of love and happiness. I love you crazy."

The post elicited soooooo many reactions with young men bowing to Reginald for being romantic.

One fan, @Chistonjr, wrote:

"Mzee tufundishe mapenzi na sisi, maana hela hatuna na mapenzi hatujui, upo juu una mahaba hadi shetani anaogopa. Ila somo nalolipata ukitaka kuwa na mahaba makali kuwa na demu mzuri."

Anyhow, one of Mengi's last tweets revolved around his projects.

In one tweet the tycoon revealed, "I'm in lndia to catch up with latest race on stem cell and gene engineering technology. Remember Mwalimu Nyerere once advised us to run while others walked. Pse pray for me to win this race."

His last two tweets, he quotes to personalities who have made huge leaps in their various sectors. They two are Jakaya Kikwete and billionaire John D. Rockefeller.

Mengi wrote, "Urafiki unaotokana na biashara zenu ni bora kuliko biashara itakayozaliwa kutokana na urafiki wenu,”Billionea wa zamani wa Marekani John D. Rockefeller.”

And the other tweet read: "Midomo imeubwa kusema.wanasema wanachofikiria hata kama ni uongo lakini watauamini,wataueneza na watakuhukumu kwa uongo wao - Kikwete 2009.”
