Police have banned planned anti Iebc protests by Nasa supporters in Mombasa because of security reasons. Urban police boss Lucas Ogara says they don't have adequate security officers to protect the demonstrators and guard president Uhuru Kenyatta.
He is appealing to supporters to postpone their demonstrations.
He says IEBC offices are situated near Mombasa Statehouse hence posing a security threat. Ogara says they will hold talks with organizers to postpone the anti IEBC demos.
He says its unreasonable to hold demonstrations near the statehouse. President Kenyatta is expected to be in Mombasa for the next few days.
