A police officer attached to the DCI was last evening hit and killed in an accident near Muthaiga area, Nairobi. The officer is said to have been crossing on foot when a speeding car hit him dead.
Police say the car involved in the accident sped off from the scene and efforts to trace it are ongoing. The body was moved to the mortuary as the probe continues.
Meanwhile, police are looking for a gang that raided a bar in Ruai area, Nairobi and robbed revelers of their cash and other valuables. The gang went to the bar posing as patrons before three of them drew out guns and ordered those inside to lie down and surrender their valuables and cash.
The bar had more than 20 people watching football when the incident happened. The gang collected the loot and put it in a bag they had and left. No arrest has been made so far.
