Post mortem results reveal that Malewa chief was killed

Post mortem results have revealed that the chief of Malewa location, Paul Nyota Karugu, who died on the night of Thursday last week, was killed.

Kipipiri OCPD, Charles Rotich revealed this to hundreds of mourners who attended Karugu’s burial at Daraja mbili village in Malewa location yesterday.

Karugu’s lifeless body was discovered last Friday morning at Kimuru River Bridge in Malewa. He had a deep cut at the back of his head. It was initially suspected he fell at the 12 foot high bridge while walking home drunk.

Rotich explained that now it is responsibility of investigators to establish who and why the chief was killed and called on residents to volunteer any information that can help investigations.
