Not "The Beast" that you are thinking of but if the Nderitu Njoka-led Maendeleo ya Wanaume Organisation have their way, very soon President Uhuru Kenyatta will be the proud owner, if it can be said so, of a billy goat the organisation has named "The Beast" in tributte to US President Barack Obama's official limousine.

The organisation announced on Tuesday at a press conference held in a Nyeri hotel that they plan to present the goat as a token to President Uhuru and Deputy President William Ruto, who will receive a billy goat named "Beetle", to appreciate them for hosting the US President.

The other billy goat was named "Beetle" in reference to the Volkswagen Beetle vehicle that Auma Obama, President Obama's sister, used to pick his brother from the airport when he first arrived in Kenya in 1987.

Njoka said that the organisation settling on awarding President Uhuru and DP Ruto the billy goats because according to them, a billy goat is a precious gift in the African set up which is awarded respectable people after implementing a commendable task.

“We shall start a journey to take them (the goats) to State House on a day to be announced later. We are appealing to all men who want us to join in this journey to come along,” Njoka said before urging fellow men to donate more domestic animals like bulls, chicken and rabbits which he said will also be taken to Nairobi.

“I hope the presidential guards will open the doors for us since we want the President and the Deputy President to enjoy a delicious meal after the hard work,” Njoka said.

Njoka also lauded the President’s crackdown on second-generation alcohol and faulted President Obama for his emphasis on women and girls empowerment. He said that leaving men out will lead to increased crime in the world.

“Obama did not mention the issue of drugs and substance abuse which has destroyed the lives of most youth,” Njoka said.
