I receive over 300 insults a day on social media but I am still strong - Dennis Itumbi

State House Digital Director Dennis Itumbi appeared on Annitah Raey's popular 'unmasked' segment last week where he opened up for the first time ever, about his up bringing, dating life as well as how he handles cyber bullying.

Itumbi has time and again found himself in a storm on social media where he is forced to fend off insults from Kenyans every time he airs his opinions. This normally happens whenever he tackles any issue to do with Kenyan politics.

Cyber bullying has 'killed' many people's social media presence a topic which has been widely discussed over and over, with Annitah Raey at times falling victim.

But how does Itumbi manage to cope from all the insults on a regular basis?

Social media does not change who you are. Itumbi said adding, You remain who you are whether you are on social media, whether you shouting on the streets or you are in the privacy of your room. Your personality does not change because you have a platform called Twitter.

So what you are seeing is the real anger people are having either against themselves or against other people. There is also the make believe unaenda Instagram unachukua picha unaweka filters so you want people to believe you are doing too well while deep inside you are not doing too well.

Social media anger and the conversation that seem to be full of bile and hate, do not give too much attention to them just let them be because it's a way of people's way of expressing themselves.

Itumbi went on to reveal that he receives over 300 insults on his social media platforms and amazingly, they have not yet come close to denting his personality.

Kama mimi bana both of my inboxes I receive an average of 300 or 400 insults a day but they do not change who I am.
