Ronaldo Missed A Penalty As Austria Held Portugal To A Barren Draw

Portugal were held to a barren draw by Austria in their second match at the Euro 2016 tournament, to remain third in pool F.

Despite dominating the game, Cristiano Ronaldo missed a second half penalty and had a goal disallowed for offside as Austria held on for the point. Another group F match saw table toppers Hungary play to a 1-1 draw with Iceland.

Earlier on Belgium beat the Republic of Ireland 3-0 courtesy of a Romelu Lukaku double, to move to second in pool E.

Meanwhile, violent scenes continued yesterday at the ongoing Euro 2016 championships after Hungary supporters clashed with stewards and riot police, before their 1-1 draw against Iceland inside the Stade Velodrome.

Elsewhere, Croatia and Turkey have been charged by Uefa for crowd trouble. Croatia have been sanctioned after supporters' crowd disturbances and racist behaviour, against the Czech republic, while the Turks have been charged with the setting off of fireworks, throwing of objects and field invasion during their 3-0 defeat by Spain.
