”I join fellow members of the ODM, Cord family, the people of Western Kenya and the country in condoling with Likuyani MP Enoch Wamalwa Kibunguchy, following the deaths of his beloved mother Mama Dina Nasiku Kibunguchy and his uncle Hillary Wafula (Dina’s brother) early this week,” Cord leader Raila Odinga has said in a statement.
“It is sad for one to lose a beloved one. It is sadder to lose two beloved ones in a span of two days. I share in the grief and sorrow that the Kibunguchy family is going through during this time of mourning.
“I have known Mama Dina for many years as an illustrious and development-minded lady. She established her business empire in Webuye town, leading to the naming of the area where she operated as ‘Kwa Dina’. She has left behind a rich entrepreneurial legacy of a woman who was determined to make it in life, despite all odds.
“On behalf of the ODM party, which Kibunguchy is a member of, the Cord fraternity and my family, I wish to convey my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of a sister and her brother who have both gone to be with the Lord. I hope our Lord brings you and your family the much-needed peace during this sad time.”
