SAD: Emiliano Sala's dog, Nala, still awaits it's master since his plane disappeared (PHOTOS)

Premier league side, Cardiff City's record signing Emiliano Sala is still missing, presumed dead since January 21st after his ill-fated plane went went off radar just an hour after taking off from Nantes Atlantique airport.

The talented Argentine striker was on his way to his new club Cardiff in Wales, after bidding goodbye to staff, family and his former team mates in Nantes.

On Monday morning, a haunting image of the plane's wreckage lying 220ft down on the bed of the English Channel, was released by Air Accident Investigation Branch. The authorities also revealed that the body of either Sala or his pilot David Ibbotson is on board.

It's also believed that one of the reasons Sala flew back to France was to make sure Nala was ok and to take her to the kennel and start the process to bring her to Wales with him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Emiliano Sala and pilot David Ibbotson's family and friends.
