Security intensified ahead of World Trade Organization conference

Security has been intensified across the city ahead of the World Trade Organization conference that kicks off today.

Police Spokesperson Charles Owino says more officers have been deployed to provide security and direct traffic during the event with more than 5000 delegates are expected in Nairobi for the conference.

Meanwhile, traffic flow on most roads in Nairobi will be disrupted due to the World Trade Organization meeting that kicks off at the KICC today. Roads to be affected include Parliament Road, Harambee Avenue, City Hall Way, Taifa Road and Wabera Street.
