The suspect said to a veterinarian stabbed the deceased six times using a knife after he found him in a compromising situation with his alleged girlfriend.
Soon after the Sunday night incident, the middle aged suspect fled from the scene after also stabbing the woman who was left bleeding profusely.
The victim died while been rushed to hospital by members of the public as police launched a manhunt for the suspect.
Trouble started after the veterinarian who is well-known in the village found the duo who are his friends drinking and making merry in a bar.
A witness John Gathara said that the woman had an affair with the both the suspect and the deceased before a fierce exchange of words erupted.
Gathara added that the suspect arrived in the bar and went straight to where the two lovers were seated and soon a fight broke between the two.
“The suspect went for the knife after the fight began, he stabbed the deceased several times before escaping using the cover of darkness,” he said.
He said that it took time to get a vehicle to ferry the deceased to hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
