The Kenya Shujaa Rugby team yesterday won the 2016 Safari Sevens after beating Samurai Sevens 38-21 in the final.
The national side earned their tries through Brian Tanga, Frank Wanyama, Leonard Mugaisi and Billy Odhiambo as they exacted their revenge over the side they lost to in 2015 final.
Tanga was named the tournament’s most valuable player for his impressive displays in the two days. Western Province finished third after beating England Saxons 36-7 in the third place play off while Homeboyz RFC won bowl after beating Rwanda 43-0.
