Skipper Wanyama Leads 11 Foreign-based Players Ahead Of DRC, Uganda Friendlies

Tottenham and Harambee Stars midfield mainstay, Victor Wanyama leads a total of 11 foreign based players who are set to link up with the Kenyan squad, ahead of the upcoming friendlies with Uganda and DRC Congo.

The two matches are scheduled for March 23 and 26, 2017 respectively at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

According to , those called up include;

Abud Omar (Slava Sofia, Bulgaria)

Anthony Akumu (Zesco, Zambia)

David Ochieng (New York Cosmos, USA)

Erick Ouma (FC Kolkheti, Georgia)

Jesse Were (Zesco, Zambia) and  Johanna Omollo (Royal Antwerp, Belgium).

The foreign based players are expected in the country by the end of today.

Meanwhile, DR Congo arrived in the country yesterday ahead of their Sunday’s friendly match with Harambee Stars.

The team will hold training sessions at Kenya school of Monetary studies until Saturday when they will travel to Machakos. Harambee Stars players reported to training camp on Sunday.

Uganda Cranes are expected in the country today at 10.45am and they will camp at Kenya School of Monetary Studies before travelling to Machakos tomorrow for Thursday’s friendly match.
