"Sponsors" To Blame For Increased HIV Infections In Universities - Report

Universities and Colleges are recording more than 50 percent of the new HIV infections in the country.Dr Martin Sirengo, from the National Aids and STI control Programme (NASCOP), says many college students engage in love affairs with older men, popularly known as "sponsors", leading to the increased infections.

Sirengo says students should avoid such relationships with aged people which are motivated by the desire by the learners to raise money.
