The list makes good reading for Premier League fans, as several familiar names made the cut.
Spurs, Arsenal & Man United men
England are pretty awful at the back, so it was no surprise that none of the Three Lions defenders were included in the XI.
Moving into midfield, however, Tottenham’s Dele Alli was given a starting berth in the centre, alongside Portugal’s brilliant Renato Sanches.
Up front, the youngest man at the tournament – Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford – got a place in the middle of a front three.
Interestingly, both Rashford (less likely) and Alli (more likely) are doubtful to lock down starting places for the opener against Russia on Saturday.
Staying with Premier League based players, Manchester United’s Anthony Martial was also handed a spot in the attack. For the record, Martial may be benched for France’s opener against Romania, with Antoine Griezmann, Olivier Giroud and Dimitri Payet picked as the front three.
The other EPL player was Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin, who is also doubtful to start the competition for Spain.
