Kocha wa Harambee Stars Sebastien Migne amelithubutu shirikisho la soka nchini FKF kumfuta kazi akihoji kwamba haamnini kuwa rais Nick Mwenda anaweza kumudu matokeo ya uamuzi kama huo.

Migne ameongea haya baada ya Kenya kubanduliwa kutoka kwa michuano ya kufuzu kwa CHAN mwaka 2020 baada ya kupoteza 4-1 kwa Tanzania. FKF italazimika kumlipa Migne shilingi milioni 50 iwapo itamfuta kazi. Baadhi ya wakenya wanamtaka kufutwa kazi baada ya matokeo hayo duni.

Harambee Stars coach Sébastien Migné names AFCON squad

Harambee Stars coach head coach Sebastien Migne has named a provisional 25-man squad ahead of the African cup of nations.

The squad includes both the local and the international based footballers with Uncapped Sweden-born Chris Mbamba the surprise inclusion in the squad.

Harambee Stars are set to tackle Algeria, Tanzania and Senegal in their Group C fixtures.

The biannual tourney will be hosted in Egypt and will kick off on 21st June, with Kenya playing Algeria on 23rd at 11PM East African time.

Newly appointed Harambee Stars coach Sébastien Migné will take charge of his first assignment when Kenya faces Swaziland in an International friendly match on Friday at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

The coach has held three training sessions with all the local based players initially called up, expressing satisfaction with the team’s preparations.

Kenya is set to face Swaziland and Equatorial Guinea on Friday, May 25, and Monday, May 28, 2018, respectively.

Both matches will be played at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, with tickets set to retail at Ksh 100 (Terrace) and Ksh 300 (VIP).

Newly appointed Harambee Stars Head Coach Sébastien Migné has named 24 players to do duty for Kenya, in two upcoming friendlies against Swaziland and Equatorial Guinea, scheduled to be played on May 25 and 28, 2018 respectively.

Further, in what is a first for Kenyan football the coach has also named an additional nine reserve players as a precautionary measure, who may be called upon to replace any of the 24 players in camp if need be.

“We have called up 24 players to camp, both local and foreign-based,” said Migné.

“However, as a precautionary measure and more so because football is a contact sport, we have named an additional nine reserve players who will not report to camp but may be called upon to replace any of the 24 in case of injuries or any other unforeseeable situation,” explained the coach.

The team which reports to camp on Monday, May 21, 2018, will be without Girona striker Michael Olunga who has requested to be excused from the two fixtures due to pre-planned club engagements.

“We had called Olunga but had to replace him when it became evident he would not make it for the two matches,” said Migné.

“We, however, expect him to be part of the squad that will travel to India for the Hero Intercontinental Cup scheduled to beginning on June 1, 2018,” concluded the Coach.

The team will camp at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies, with the friendlies set to be played at the Kasarani Stadium.

Harambee Stars coach Sébastien Migne on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, held his first session with the National football team, Harambee Stars.

According to FKF, the session saw 25 local based players audition under the newly appointed coach. Also present was Musa Mohammed and Eric Ouma who have previously featured for the senior team.

The team held two training sessions at Camp Toyoyo, ahead of upcoming international friendly matches.
