Father Of Six Arrested For Allegedly Defiling His Two Daughters For A Period Of Three Years

A father of six has been arrested in Kinangop for allegedly sexually abusing his two daughters for a period of three years.

The farmer who is been held in Ndunyu Njeru police station was arrested on Monday in his home in Mikaro village following a tip off by some family members.

This came as details emerged that the suspect would threaten the minors with unspecified action if they told anyone what was going on at home.

According to a resident Simon Muraya, the minors had on several occasions complained to classmates at school of the ordeal they were going through at home with little assistance.

Muraya said in the recent incidence, the two complained and when the teachers found out and reported the matter, the suspect transferred them to another school warning them with dire consequences if they reported again.

“They have been living in fear for that long but his proverbial days have come and he will have to spend the next part of life in jail,” he said.

Muraya noted that cases of sexual harassment among school going children in the area was rife with close relatives being part of the abuse.

Area chief Magdalene Kariuki confirmed the incidence saying the suspect was being held at Ndunyu Ndunyu police station and will be arraigned in court once investigations are through.

“The two minors have been taken to hospital where tests will be conducted to ascertain whether they were abused before the suspect is taken to court,” she said.

Meanwhile shock and disbelief gripped residents of a Naivasha estate after a new born baby was found dumped by the road side in the area.

Residents heading to work in the morning found the baby near the Naivasha law courts with many questioning the motive.

According to a resident Magdalene Wanja, the residents were alerted by screams from the infant who was hidden in a bag and on checking found she was alive.

She said that there were indications that the suspect gave birth on the scene before leaving the minor and fleeing to unknown place.

“We took the minor Naivasha sub county hospital where he is recuperating and we are asking members of the public to report any woman who may have delivered but does not have the baby,” she said.

I Was Sexually Abused By Paedophile Coach, Reveals Ex-England Footballer

The sex abuse scandal in football has escalated again with former England and Manchester City star David White becoming the fourth player to reveal that he was a victim of a paedophile who coached him as a child.

According to DailyMail, on a day when Cheshire Police said 11 people had now come forward in the wake of Andy Woodward’s revelations about his time at Crewe Alexandra, White released a statement to reveal that he too was targeted by what witnesses claim was a nationwide paedophile ring in the game.

White said that, like Woodward and fellow ex-Crewe player Steve Walters, he was abused by convicted paedophile and junior football coach Barry Bennell.

White said: ‘Given recent press stories I wish to confirm that I was sexually abused by my former football coach Barry Bennell in the late 70s and early 80s – this abuse took place while I was attached to Whitehill FC Junior team based in Manchester.’

Paul Stewart, another ex-England player, has also revealed he was abused by a former coach, though it is thought that was not Bennell.

White took the time to read his statement personally to Sportsmail on Wednesday night, having planned to tell his story in an autobiography he hopes to have published next year. He has been assisted in writing the book by Jo Lake, wife of another former City player, Paul Lake.

White added: ‘For a number of reasons, and for nearly two decades, I kept my ordeal secret from my family and friends. While I believe throughout my football career I have come to terms with what had happened, I now realise the effects of Bennell’s actions were much more far reaching than I knew then.

UN rights chief says French soldier sexually abused girl in CAfrica

The UN said Thursday its staff had learned that a French soldier had sexually abused a teenaged girl in the Central African Republic, who became pregnant and gave birth.

“This is the latest in a series of appalling allegations of sexual exploitation and abuse by foreign troops in CAR,” UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein said in a statement.

UN workers in the country learned on August 30 that a girl was allegedly sexually abused around a year ago by soldier from the French military force, known as Sangaris, the United Nations rights office said.

The girl, who is believed to have been in her mid to late teens at the time of the alleged abuse, gave birth to a child in April, it said, adding that the victim has lodged a paternity case with the local authorities.

French authorities had been informed of the allegations and that the UN was ready to help with any investigation, Zeid said.

A source close to French Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said he “immediately ordered an investigation and will refer the case to Paris prosecutors once the details have been transferred to him.”

The ministry had been informed three days ago that the UN was planning to put out a statement about sexual abuse allegations, but had not received any details yet, the source said.

“We’re waiting for the UN to give us a bit more,” ministry spokesman Pierre Bayle said, stressing the French would be “completely transparent” in their handling of the case.

France is already investigating allegations that 14 Sangaris soldiers sexually abused children in CAR in return for food, from December 2013 until June 2014.

“Although this particular case did not involve UN peacekeepers, there have been a number of other cases in CAR –- and elsewhere –- which have,” said Zeid, who is currently visiting the chronically restive, impoverished nation.

The case announced Thursday is only the latest in a string of alleged sexual abuse cases involving foreign troops.

The French Sangaris soldiers were not deployed under UN command, but the UN’s 12,000-strong MINUSCA force, which took over from an African Union mission nearly a year ago, has also been plagued by a series of allegations of rape and other misconduct by its own troops.

The UN mission in CAR has been hit by 13 cases of alleged sexual abuse by its peacekeepers, including nine that involve underage victims as young as 11, an official said last month.

“We simply have to find ways to prevent such odious acts being committed by any soldiers anywhere who are supposed to be protecting vulnerable populations,” Zeid said.

He said governments who send peacekeeping troops have an obligation to investigate all such cases in a timely manner.

“Any UN or other foreign military personnel found guilty must be given sentences that fit the crime,” he said.

NAIVASHA: Cleric arrested for allegedly defiling teen daughter

A popular pastor in Naivasha has been arrested by police on allegations of sexually abusing his 14 year old daughter.

This came following claims that it was not the first time the cleric had been involved in the illicit affair with his elder daughter years back.

Following the incident, the teenager has been rescued and is currently residing at the Naivasha safe house undergoing counselling.

A witness said that this is not the first time that the 45-year-old suspect had been involved in such kind of incidents.

According to one witness, “The cleric was involved in a similar scandal with one of his daughters before she was rescued by authorities.”

Naivasha sub-county children officer John Chege confirmed the arrest adding that investigations were still going on.

Speaking on Thursday, Chege said that the minor was deeply traumatized adding she was in safe hands after the harrowing ordeal that lasted for over two years.

“The minor claims that she was subjected to her father’s abuse for over two years and we have handed over the suspect to the police for action,” he said.

Tyson opens up about sexual abuse

Mike Tyson has revealed he was sexually abused by a stranger when he was a child growing up in Brooklyn.

The 48-year-old said during a radio interview on Wednesday that the molestation took place when he was seven.

‘He snatched me off the street,’ the boxing legend said in a radio interview.

‘I was a little kid… He was an old man. He bullied me, sexually abused me and stuff,’ said Tyson. ‘Never seen him again.’

The father-of-eight said he managed to escape, and claimed it was a one-time incident.

Tyson said he never told anyone, including the police, about the abuse.

‘I just went on with my life,’ he said.

When asked by the interviewer whether the event changed him, Tyson answered: ‘I don’t know if it did or not.’

He added: ‘I don’t always remember, but maybe I do but I don’t. I’m not ashamed or embarrassed by it.’
