After the SportPesa All Stars returned to the country following their 1-2 loss to a Hull City XI side, Joshua Otieno, the team's youngest representative's star continues to rise after the East Yorkshire side invited the 16-year-old to train with the Tigers’ U18s for the next few days.

According to the club's official site, the Tigers’ Academy stepped in to give the exciting midfielder the extra experience of training with the Club’s up-and-coming youngsters after Joshua Otieno, didn't have a chance to showcase his talent having been introduced into the match, with less than a minute of added time remaining.

Having encountered administration problems on his way to the UK, Otieno a Form 3 student at Kakamega High School, only arrived in the UK 24 hours before the All Stars took to the field at the KCOM and, having only tasted a few seconds of football on English soil.

Hull City Development Phase coach Richard O’Donnelle, who will be in charge of the sessions said he will focus on general match preparation and developing possession in today’s training.

This will include passing, endurance, mobility, weight of the pass, accuracy among other tactics. Accompanied by football development manager Patrick Naggi, Joshua will undergo a two-day training with the Hull teams.

“I am excited as this opportunity will help me attain better skills. I don’t regret failing to play a part in the game since I’m optimistic there will be more opportunities. This is just the beginning,” said an elated Joshua.

The Sony Sugar player plays offensive position eight and can also play in defensive midfield.
