Liverpool duo of Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah as well as Borussia Dortmund talisman Pierre Emerick Aubameyang are the final candidates for the CAF footballer of the year.
Salah has been in sparkling form for both club and country and has emerged as the favorites to win the award. The award ceremony will be held on 4th of January in Ghana.
CAF also decided that the categories for Player of the Year Based in Africa and for referees should be removed from list of awards. Nigeria, Egypt and Cameroon will battle for the team of the year.
