A 53 years old man drowned while crossing the Ramasha River at the border of Narok and Kisii Counties on Sunday night.
Trans Mara West Acting OCPD Charles Ouma told Journalists that Kepha Ratemo was heading home to Ramasha in Kisii from the Trans Mara side where he does business.
Ouma said that by Monday evening, Ratemo’s body had not been found and that his phone and a Maasai club were found at a spot besides the river and it was yet to be established how the items were left there.
The police boss said that Ratemo is said to have been carried away at the same spot where a teacher at Oronkai Primary School Peter Nakuso drowned two weeks ago.
Nakuso's body was later found two kilometres away from the scene.
