"This passenger wanted to alight at Allsops bus terminus but they refused. The two makangas started insulting the passenger and at one point one of the makanga snatched some money from his (passenger) shirt pocket," said an eye witness who filmed the entire altercation.
"The passenger raised the alarm and slowly they started roughing him up. The bus stopped at Homeland and thats where the two touts started to beat him up after we alighted," he added.
This comes just a month after three men accused of stripping and sexually assaulting a woman inside a Githurai bound bus, three years ago, were sentenced to death by a Nairobi magistrate.
The trio, Nicholas Chege Mwangi, a bus driver, Meshack Mburu Mwangi, a bus conductor and a pump attendant- Edward Ndungu Kamau were also found guilty of robbing the woman and sexually assaulting her on the night of September 19 and 20, 2014.
