Two IEBC commissioners, who purportedly resigned, returned to the Anniversary Towers on Friday, raising questions on their mission.

Vice Chairperson Connie Nkatha and commissioner Margaret Mwachanya were at the Nairobi office to see chairman Wafula Chebukati.

"The two are here to see the chairman. I can only report the purpose of their mission after I speak with the chairman," IEBC communications boss Andrew Limo said.

In April, Maina, Mwachanya and Paul Kurgat said they had left the commission citing lack of faith in the chairman’s leadership.

Kenyans have taken to social media to protest this move. The question is will IEBC chairman listen to KOT?

Martha Karua ...Totally unacceptable ! Even if their resignations were not formal, they must be deemed to have absconded from duty! They cannot in good faith return to work and it is not healthy for the IEBC.

Kevinsimiyu....I've always failed to understand how Kenya defines what a law is if an independent commission like iebc commissioners play in and out games freely

Obunga Brian....These commisioners shouldn't be allowed back to office. IEBC made some noteble mistakes. We all remember the 54% governors. This commissioners should give us a break.

Stephen Kyalo....True, where on earth would you abscond duty for 4months+ and purport to return to work like nothing happened. HR process and procedures.

Mac' Botongore....The Chair needed to have reported to authorities about this absenteeism, in the absence of this he's guilty as charged ! Human resources team in public sector can confirm this.

Saith....I'm Kenya people don't resign the step aside to allow investigation - I guess they were cleared or repented their sins.

Kelvin M'mayi....Who on earth reverses their resignation?? This is madness, those three must be avoided like plague!!

Kiprotich Westu Sige.....dont take our patience for granted iebc....

Miriam Mwangi....This is totally unacceptable

Vincent Mbogholi Mwa.....they should just go
