Radio Jambo presenter Mbusii was among five other media personalities who took in a social experiment aimed at urging Kenyans to perceive the country positively.
Mbusii was shown cropped out images of some photos and he was asked to give his opinion on what comes to his mind when he sees a lamp, machetes, a Maasai, two white people walking on a beach and an aerial photo of a slum dwelling.
The responses given by Mbusii and the other media personalities - Royal Media's Julie Gichuru and Swaleh Mdoe, Capital FM's Amina Abdi and DJ Mo - ranged from aspect of rural life, poverty, foreign perception of Kenyans by visiting tourists and violence.
They were later shown the full images of the cropped out photos and their reaction was similar; that despite the many challenges the country, Kenya is indeed a beautiful country.
