Blessed to mark half a century on earth, the breakfast co-host hosted an exclusive birthday party at Ole Sereni hotel, Nairobi where he invited the who is who in the showbiz industry.
The guests rocked state of the art suits and dresses as they wore smiles and shared foods and drinks with the legend himself.
Among the notable guests include; Gidi na Ghost asubuhi co-host Jacob 'Ghost' Mulee, Maji Maji, Felix Odiwour aka Jalang'o, Alex Mwakideu, Daniel Ndambuki aka Churchill and Radio Africa Group managing director, Martin Khafafa.
Before the lavish party, the birthday boy received a heart warming birthday surprise from his french-based daughter, Mari-rose Hera Ogidi, who sent him a video singing the birthday song.
Gidi on his Instagram page said that the event which was organized in less than three days, it's aim was to raise funds to support Kenyans affected by the cancer menace.
His post read,
Yesterday was one of my greatest days on earth, when friends from different professions and walks of life came together to celebrate my birthday. Am still humbled that this was done in 3 days. We dedicated the event to support a charity that has been helping Kenysns affected by the cancer menace.So friends kindly let's come together and support www.eddahs-hope.org
Mari-rose’s message comes just few months after her parents took to social media to deliver a heartfelt birthday message to their only child.
In their message, the two pray for God’s protection upon their little angel, asking God to always make her happy, kind and God fearing.
