The wife of a former DC in Kakamega Paul Yatich has been found brutally raped and murdered at their house in Kiplombe area in Eldoret town.
The body of Loice Yatich was found partly decomposed and Eldoret West OCPD Zachary Bitok says they suspect she was murdered last Saturday. She worked with the TSC as a Curriculum Support Development officer in Uasin Gishu County.
Bitok said they are looking for one of her workers who went missing following the incident. Her car which had also been missing was found abandoned in Kabiyet area Nandi County.
“We suspect the murder may have been committed on Saturday and the body had serious cuts on the shoulders and we also suspect she was raped during the attack”, said Bitok.
Bitok said the former DC had separated with his wife and lived separately at Pioneer estate in Eldoret.
According to Bitok, Yatich had twice reported to the police that his wife was missing since last Sunday and she never returned. However he accompanied the police to the house where she lived in efforts to trace her.
“When we broke one of the windows to the house, her body was discovered in the house partly decomposing”, said Bitok.
