The man is accused of committing the offence on June 10 at his home in Kibokoni area of Malindi subcounty.
He rejected the verdict and told the court that even if he dies in prison, he will still go to heaven.
During sentencing, the father asked the court to read a Bible verse.
Chief magistrate Julie Oseko denies him his request and noted he had committed a serious offence.
"He is a teacher and has also put the lives of other children at risk. He does not deserve to return to the community ... the court will therefore give a deterrent sentence," she said.
The magistrate said although the penalty attracts 10 years, the court will give the man the maximum sentence.
Oseko said the accused has a right to appeal in 14 days if unhappy with the verdict.
