Police in Naivasha are holding a mother who crashed her new born baby to death after falling on her while drunk. The woman allegedly suffocated the minor to death after arriving home drunk and lying on top of her.
According to a local resident James Wambugu, the woman was on a drinking spree with her friends when she returned home late at night. Wambugu said that the woman fell asleep on top of the baby who was found dead the following day by neighbors.
''The woman is very remorseful after the incident but police have moved in and arrested her for further interrogation'' he said.
