A terror suspect believed to have been conducting surveillance on the president’s rural home will be remanded for 15 days to allow police conduct investigations.

Said Mire Siyad who was found in Uhuru's compound in Ichaweri, Gatundu South District, on Tuesday The Star reports. Police say Said Mire Siyad was unable to explain why he was at the president’s home when he was found.

Meanwhile, 4 men suspected to be members of the al shabaab have been arrested in Machakos town. The four were arrested as they tried to book for lodging facilities in the town.
