All members of the controversial Kihiu Mwiri land buying company who have served in the board have been ordered to report to CID headquarters on Friday.

Acting Lands Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i said on Thuursday that the government will work with former directors to establish the cause of the “mysterious murders” of members and the people behind them.

Chairing a security meeting at the Gatanga deputy county commissioner’s office, Matiang’i said the government is committed to stopping the bloodshed that has so far claimed 11 lives.

He said a special homicide unit, which will work with a task force established to issue title deeds, will assist in the investigation.

Matiang’i was with Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinett and CID director Ndegwa Muhoro.

The CS said members have information on the murders, which will be used to identify the people behind the killings.
