EACC denies clearing Anne Waiguru in NYS scam

The ethics and anti corruption commission EACC has denied claims that it cleared former Devolution CS Anne Waiguru over the 791 million shillings NYS scandal. EACC Chair Philip Kinisu says the matter was being investigated by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations which failed to provide them with clear information on the matter.

In related news, the EACC is incompetent and unable to deal effectively with the massive corruption in the country. MP Tim Wanyonyi says the commission has allegedly been handling the NYS saga lightly despite the magnitude of the matter.
