Tanzanian President Joseph Pombe Magufuli continues to crack the whip on corruption and unethical practices by officials in his government.

Magufuli is proving doubters wrong that his actions were only temporary and would run out of energy in streamlining government institutions, after sacking a few incompetent government employees and ordered for cost-cutting measures.

Last week, JPM, as he is known by his supporters, was at it again when he made an impromptu visit to the Bank of Tanzania (Equivalent of Central Bank Of Kenya).

While there, he ordered that the bank stops remitting payments to several people after he unearthed a scheme where some individuals were being paid by the bank, yet they were doing totally nothing.

The incident was recorded and a clip has surfaced online which was played on Radio Jambo during the Gidi Na Ghost Asubuhi show on Thursday. The Presenters and Newsreader Yusuf Juma expressed delight at the step Magufuli had taken and urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to follow suit.
