Team Nairobi's Johnson Sakaja and Mike Sonko are in the lead as votes trickle in from the Jubilee primaries.

Sakaja, a Nairobi senator aspirant, has 14,211 votes, and has a significant gap between himself and his opponents.

Sonko, who intends to vie on a Jubilee ticket for the Nairobi governor seat, has so far garnered 215 votes against his rival Peter Kenneth's 158 in Hospital Hill, Westlands.

Bishop Margaret Wanjiru has 21 votes in the same polling station. Wanjiru has been arrested earlier after storming the City Park polling station.

In Innsworth school station, Sonko has 42 votes followed by Kenneth 30 votes.

He added that all those who would vie for governor are his friends and that there comes a time when leaders must make sacrifices.

Sakaja is vying for the seat held by current Sonko, who is in the race to replace Governor Evans Kidero.
