Kitale Man Beaten To Death For Sleeping With Neighbour's wife

A man was on Tuesday beaten to death in Kitale after he was allegedly found sleeping with his neighbour's wife.

Kelvin Keruba, 31, was found unconscious outside the neighbors' house by his brother Evans Keruba who called the police.

Trans Nzoia West OCPD Jackson Mwenga said the victim was accosted by John Barasa at midnight.

"He claimed the man was sleeping with his wife Mary Njeri in his house at Tuwan village, Saboti sub-county."

The police said that Keruba was rushed to Mt Elgon Hospital where he succumbed to the injuries.

Jane Wanyama, one of the neighbors, said they heard screams coming from the house but feared to get out.

"It was only in the morning when we got the shocking news," she said.

The OCPD said the man was beaten in the head with a blunt object.

"Barasa and his wife have since gone into hiding and police have launched investigations into the incident," Mwenga said.
