Police on stand-by to stop anti-IEBC demos in Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa

Anti-riot police have been deployed to stop NASA protesters from accessing major cities for demonstrations on Monday.

The Opposition said there would be week-long protests against the IEBC.

They are protesting against the electoral agency's failure to respond to its irreducible minimums, including the ejection of CEO Ezra Chiloba.

Police have been warned against using live bullets on protesters.

On Friday, three people were killed in Bondo, Siaya county, while dozens of others were injured in Kisumu and Migori counties.

Acting Interior CS Fred Matiang'i has banned protests in the CBDs of Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa.
