A suspected rapist has been lynched in Maryland estate in Naivasha minutes after attempting to sexually abuse a house-help.

The middle aged suspect who was semi-naked was cornered a few meters from the scene of the crime and beaten to death by the irate mob.

The incident along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway came barely a fortnight after a gang held hostage a family in the area and sexually abused their form one going daughter.

According to a witness Elizabeth Karani, the suspect who had a knife gained entry into the house after scaling the perimeter wall.

She said that suspect who is not known in the area used the knife to threaten the house-help who was alone by the time.

“The lady however managed to flee from the suspect who was already half naked and her screams alerted members of the public who caught up with him,” she said.

Naivasha sub-county commissioner Isaac Masinde confirmed the incident adding that police had started their investigations and increased patrols in the estate.

Meanwhile, residents of Kijabe along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway woke up to a rude shock to find the body of a middle aged man dumped in the area.

The semi-naked body which did have any identification documents was found dumped in the notorious Kinale forest in what was believed to be another case of extra-judicial killing.

Just like in previous cases the man had been strangled using a wire before the body was dropped in the forest where in the past tens of body had been recovered.
