Three people, including a KDF soldier have been arrested in a botched kidnapping incident in Langata area, Nairobi.

The three had held a boy hostage and were demanding Sh5 million as ransom before they could release the victim.

Police were informed and acted arresting the suspects from a house in the area. The suspects are under interrogation and will be charged when the probe is complete. The victim was reunited with the parents.

Meanwhile, a police officer was yesterday arrested after he lost his pistol, which was loaded with 15 bullets at Jogoo Road police station.

The officer claims he placed the weapon in his suitcase in his house when it went missing. He told his seniors he stepped out of the house and on returning he found it missing.

It was then he was arrested. He later said he suspects his former wife was behind the incident and efforts to trace her whereabouts are ongoing.
