Lilian Muli opens up about shouting at waitress in restaurant and lessons learnt
The viral video of Lillian muli having a public meltdown at a city restaurant raised eyebrows and got tongues wagging, like crazy.
In the video, the Citizen TV news anchor was filmed hurling all manner of insults at a waitress who worked at Carribea which is located in Kilimani area.
In the video, Lilian can be heard yelling at the waitress
“THIS B**CH HAS AN ATTITUDE.”
It is not clear what caused the altercation. Attempts by other members of staff to calm down the TV siren did not work since it seemed to fuel her anger further.

Well, Lillian Muli is the cover girl on this month’s True Love. She addresses the controversial video.
“I STARTED DRINKING A LOT WHEN I LEFT JOSH’S DAD. I HAD MOVED FROM KAREN, GOT A NEW LIFE WITH JOSH (HER SON), BUT ONE DAY, AFTER THREE YEARS, I REALISED THAT I WAS ACTUALLY SEPARATED AND TRYING TO WEAR A FACE THAT EVERYTHING WAS OK, ALL WHILE STILL LOOKING GOOD ON TV,” LILLIAN TOLD TRUE LOVE.
Lillian narrated how she started using alcohol to cope with her situation and as a result surrounded herself with fake and superficial pals.
“I had a public meltdown. I screamed at someone at a restaurant and a patron recorded the entire incident which later went on social media. Now if there is someone who gets affected by social media it would be me. Something like that really gets to me and grounds me to the point I can lock all my doors and really hibernate.”
“I see so much beauty in those who wish others well. I however pity those who thrive on poisonous thoughts and slanderous tongues.”
ADDING, “I CAN’T AND DON’T INTEND TO PLEASE EVERYONE BUT FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE BEEN SUPPORTIVE AND EVEN CRITICIZED CONSTRUCTIVELY GOD BLESS YOU. I FOCUS ON THE POSITIVES ALWAYS. “EVERY BRICK THEY THREW AT ME I USED TO STAND ON.” IF YOU DON’T KNOW BY NOW I’M A SURVIVOR!”
Talking to True Love, the screen siren continued, “It was during this time that I realised my friendships were plastic and basic, because apart from my mother and a very distant friend, nobody else called to ask, ‘How are you holding up? How are you feeling about this? What happened’. Instead everyone passed judgement and kept away.”
Lillian explained:
“I GOT CAUGHT UP IN A SCANDAL AND THEY ALL DISAPPEARED. I WOULD CALL THEM AND SOME IGNORED MY CALLS, OTHERS WOULD ANSWER WITH ‘I AM GOING TO CALL YOU BACK,’ YET NEVER DID. THEY WERE ONLY THERE FOR THE FUN TIMES AND THAT GOT ME THINKING THAT IF THIS JOB ENDED TODAY, THAT WOULD BE IT. I LEARNT A LESSON.”
She concluded saying, “Instead of letting it break me, it made me stronger. The whole incident taught me to stop being such an easily ignitable fire, so easy to provoke and irritate.”
