Lawrence Lual Malong Yor Jr is the stepson of Paul Malong, who is a South Sudanese politician and military figure. He has formerly served as governor of Northern Bahr el Ghazal from 27 March 2008 to 2014.

Lawrence Lual Malong, the South Sudanese playboy is known for his extravagant lifestyle that includes private jets, luxury hotels, first-class travel, and he's also got a penchant for flashy suits, is never afraid of showing off on social media.

The 29-year-old rich kid, who has been criticised severally for showing off while thousands of people in his country live on less than a dollar a day, has always defended himself saying;

Facebook posts of him living the life of luxury were designed to 'encourage' fellow young South Sudanese to eschew violence and aim higher.

A video of Lawrence Lual Malong flaunting a million dollars has surfaced. The controversial self-proclaimed billionaire, filmed himself lying on a bed covered in 100 notes US currency dollars claiming that he was going to donate it to a church in Nairobi West.

In the video, Luala Malong Jr also praised Trump and he said;

Donald J. Trump is the world’s greatest president, and he’s the world’s greatest man. And he’s someone who likes to show off that he’s rich. I'm very wealthy, I’m very rich.’ I’m like Donald Trump.'

The rich kid, who refers to himself as 'The Golden Child of SouthSudan' shared the video last year (2017).
