Police in Meru have confiscated Bhang worth Sh10 Million and arrested two people in Kirwiro village, Ntima West ward North Imenti constituency.

Meru county commissioner Wilfred Nyagwanga said it is the biggest haul ever netted in the county.

“The crackdown on war on drugs that started two weeks ago has bore fruits last week we arrested a suspect with Bhang worth Sh5 million,” Nyangwanga said.

He said they are going to seal all loopholes and networks to ensure all drugs in Meru are wiped out.

“We have a strategy to ensure no drugs are supplied in schools,” he said.

Nyangwanga spoke at the scene where the bhang was confiscated.

He said residents should come out and inform police of the drug cartels .

The county boss said murder cases have increased due to drug usage.

He said they will continue dismantling drug cartel networks.
