Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyongo remains the best performing city county chief according to latest polls by research firm, Tifa.

Compared to his Nairobi, Mombasa and Kiambu counterparts Mike Sonko, Hassan Joho and Ferdinand Waititu, Nyongo emerged the best in county citizen score card.

Residents rated Kisumu as best performing county, scoringĀ 59 per cent (C+), followed by Kiambu at 53 per cent (C). Nairobi and Mombasa scored 51 per cent each (C)

The polls shows that Sonko is the most improved governor in terms of performance. He had scored 44 per cent (D+) in the last survey conducted in May.

Meanwhile, the State Department for Gender Affairs has developed its first strategic plan to guide its operations for the next five Years.

The plan provides a framework for programming and realizing delivery of tangible gender development results for all Kenyans as well as a guide for assessing the Department's performance and achievement of results.

The plan will be launched on Thursday 29/11/2018 at the Laico Regency Hotel during a breakfast meeting from 7.00am to 10.00am and will beĀ launched by Prof. Margaret Kobia, CS for Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs.
