There is a reason Mesut Ozil is known as the king of assists! He effortlessly helps his team mates score a few goals on the pitch as well as assist the needy in the society, off the pitch.
The Arsenal midfielder, is the talk of the nation right now after he sent a number of signed Arsenal jerseys bearing his name and sleek Adidas boots to a young Kenyan herder named Lawrence and his brother.
This comes months after one journalist Erik Njiru captured a moving photo of a young herder wearing a self made Ozil shirt while grazing in Nairobi, went viral.
Njiru posted the photo on Twitter and narrated Lawrence's story, highlighting his love for Mesut Ozil, with hope that the picture would one day reach the German midfielder and in return send the young boy a real Arsenal shirt.
He tweeted;
I saw this kid today grazing in the streets of Nairobi - a city without really grass for cows. He told me he loves so much(You can see his shirt). Maybe one day this can reach Ozil and get a real shirt.
