Video: Birthday boy Michael Olunga surprised by team mates in Japan

Kenyan superstar, Michael Olunga is marking his 25th birthday today, March 26, 2019.

The international forward who now turns out for Japanese club Kashiwa Reysol, was surprised with a cake by his team mates during their training session.

In a video he shared on his Instagram page, Olunga is seen being ambushed by one of the team's staff carrying a cake. His team mates then join in, congratulating him as he opens a new chapter in his life.

Olunga, later posed for a few photos with his team mates before he resumed training.

Every year, Olunga gets to celebrate his birthday with his Harambee Stars team mates while on international duty. This year, a minor injury kept the towering forward out which saw him miss out on Kenya's 1- 0 loss to Ghana on Saturday.

However, the loss only dented Harambee Stars' chances of finishing top of the group but they had already qualified for this year's African cup of nations tournament, in June and July.

Interesting fact about Olunga, is that for the last four years, the former Gor Mahia hot shot has been celebrating his birthdays in different clubs.

In 2017, he marked 23 years just a few months after sealing a mega money move to Chinese side, Guizhou Zhicheng from Sweden's Djurgårdens IF.

An year later, Olunga celebrated his 24th birthday while on loan at Girona FC before marking his 25th in Japan. Call him Mr. International.
