A prayer mass for the family of five who died during the Ethiopia airline crash moved many to tears on Friday.

Kenyans joined Paul Njoroge to bid farewell to his family at St Michael's Catholic Church, Bahati, Nakuru County.

Leaders from around the country attended the mass including Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui, Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu and Nakuru leaders during a mass for the family of John Karanja who lost five members on the Ethiopian Airline crash.

Karanja lost his wife Anne Wangui in the crash. She was travelling with Paul Njoroge’s wife, Caroline, and their three children - Ryan, Kerry and Rubi.

All 149 passengers and eight crew aboard the flight were killed when their Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 8 crashed six minutes after taking off from the high-altitude capital of Ethiopia.
