Kipchumba Murkomen is one of the most outspoken of politicians that we have in the country. The Elgeyo Marakwet senator has spoken about the recent media sensation that concerns the 'twins' separated at birth.

Mr. Murkomen was unhappy with the way the Kenyan media has handled the intriguing story. He wrote on his Twitter page:

I personally feel that the story of Mevies, Melon and Sharon has been mismanaged by the press and the girls&family have not been given the protection they deserve.

Kenyans responded. Some of the comments are below:

Amos Kilanya: I agree with you please Hon @kipmurkomen, I watched it on Citizen TV, totally mismanaged look at how they are making the other sibling Sharon look desperate. DNA issues are sensitive and not subject to public scrutiny!

Benson Kimutai: That's true, the girls are now even thinking they have become celebrities. Even going back and study in peace at school is going to be a problem..

Frank Mtetezi 🇰🇪©: Are you speaking from a lawyer point of view or a parent or both???

Judith Jebet: They call it news but one mother is devastated by this turn of events and the whole dramatic situation is becoming too insensitive, this girls should be left alone to cope with this, prepare for exams and be ready for DNA results while undergoing counseling....just sad

ALBOH_Nyakwara 🇰🇪: You always on oppostion once story ishafika citizen. Ulkuwa wapi ikiwa k24 na ktnews? 😏

Said Mwangangi: What kind of protection sir. Maybe u can offer one....maybe.

Kalos Says: Sure. The press has behaved like Jubilee Government. Milking Wanjiku instead of protecting her.

Fitz Birichia: It's going to backfire on the young girl soon. That's not how you deal with this kind of situation.

DukeofMeru 🇰🇪: The same way kimwarer and arror dams were mismanaged

Rextone Mutanda: The challenge of having comedians as journalist while the real trained and qualified journalists are jobless

Do you agree with Murkomen's assertion that the situation has been mismanaged by the media?
